Electronics recyclers and material recovery

Destructively processes end-of-life electronics so that materials can be recovered: shredding, granulating, dismantling for material rather than for reuse, magnetic, eddy-current, density and optical separation, and sorting into saleable commodity streams (ferrous, non-ferrous, copper, aluminium, plastics, circuit board grades). The product form is destroyed on purpose.

Qualifying activities
operating shredding, granulation or separation equipment; manual dismantling to recover material fractions; producing and selling sorted commodity streams.
Does not qualify alone
collecting or consolidating material for another processor; dismantling to harvest working parts for resale; refining already-separated streams to metal.
Boundary vs C08
C05 produces concentrates and sorted fractions; C08 produces refined metal to a purity specification.

C07 applies chemical or biological processes beyond mechanical separation.
Boundary vs C06
C06 treats regulated streams under a hazardous or universal waste permit.
B2B scope
business-to-business only. Activity sold to individual consumers or households never supports this role; a company serving both is admitted on its business-facing evidence alone, with the consumer channel recorded as an attribute of the company, never as grounds for a role.
